The association
The association was founded as Emergency Medical Service A1-Ring Austria in 1996, with the aim to ensure rapid medical intervention on the racetrack employing emergency doctors and paramedics. In 2010 the organization was renamed to Emergency Medical Service sports Austria.
Our mission
Our actions serve the medical treatment of different injury patterns and their documentation, as well as further development and optimization of treatment of injured persons in motorsports according to the latest medical knowledge.

The fulfilment of our tasks requires thorough engagement, because it is not just a job, but a commitment to people, who are always treated with respect and dignity.
Our vision
Through regular training, attendance of congresses and continuous training, our members are always up to date in emergency medicine. The experience we gain allows us to continually improve our capabilities.

Organization of keynotes in emergency and disaster medical intervention for the members of the association.

Medical coverage of the circuit by doctors from hospitals LKH Wolfsberg and LKH Leoben

Founding of the “Club der Ärzte am Österreichring“

Return of Formula 1 to the rebuilt A1 Ring in Spielberg
